Molten Chocolate Cake


  • 200g salted Rochefort butter
  • 120g nuts
  • 115g dark chocolate
  • 200g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 140g flour


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and make sure there is a shelf in the middle.
  2. Line a cake tin with baking paper.
  3. Roughly chop the nuts.
  4. Melt the salted Rochefort butter and chocolate over a low heat and mix until combined.
  5. Whisk the eggs and sugar until they are light and fluffy.
  6. Stir the flour into the egg and sugar mixture.
  7. Mix in the butter and chocolate and then the nuts.
  8. Pour the mixture into the tin and bake for 35 minutes.

To check to see if it is cooked properly, insert a knife into the middle of the cake, if it comes out without any chocolate on it, it’s cooked!
